On October 18, the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary will host the classical music concert initiated and participated by INSO-Lviv Orchestra of Lviv National Philharmonic under direction of the Austrian conductor Sándor Károlyi (Vienna).
The concert program will include pieces by the outstanding conductors of the 18-19 centuries. Alongside the purely aesthetic aspect the event will have a social meaning and goal: it will be one of the highlights in the program of events on occasion of the November Action Centenary and foundation of the West Ukrainian People’s Republic. Paying tribute to the history and heroes of the past who fought for the Independence of Ukraine in the previous centuries we remember about the Heroes of nowadays – our defenders who – by the cost of their own lives – are fighting for our right to live in the Independent, flourishing and strong Ukraine! INSO-Lviv Orchestra having been providing support for the Ukrainian soldiers, namely, the 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade, initiated the collection of funds to be donated to the Ukrainian soldier wounded in action who is urgently in need of the operation to save his life – the life of one person who saved lives of hundreds, thousands…
