Conductors.  In Ukrainian is a well-known project of the Lviv National Philharmonic, founded in 2020.

Because of the project, young and talented musicians from different parts of Ukraine have the opportunity to make a loud statement to the whole world, as all the events of the project are broadcast online. The Ukrainian conductors perform with one of the oldest and most famous Ukrainian orchestras, the Lviv National Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra.

Thanks to such artistic tandems, powerful symphonic programs combining both Ukrainian and European music are born.

In the March event “Conductors. In Ukrainian”, the Philharmonic’s Symphony Orchestra will perform under the baton of Nataliia Kirychuk, a conductor from Kyiv. During the master classes held by Theodore Kuchar and the orchestra together with the Student Scientific and Creative Society “Octopus” of the National Music Academy of Ukraine, the orchestra members were invited to join this collaboration. Together with the orchestra, Kirychuk will perform works by Beethoven and Dvořák, symphonic works of incredible beauty and complexity that not every contemporary conductor can master.

The stage of the Liudkevych Concert Hall will also feature a young cellist Mykola Liubenko performing Myroslav Skoryk’s First Cello Concerto: its deep drama, emotional intensity and splendid use of timbres will amaze the audience this evening!
