Program

Gautier Capuçon is a true 21st century ambassador for the cello. Performing internationally with many of the world’s foremost conductors and instrumentalists, he is also founder and leader of the ‘Classe d’Excellence de Violoncelle’ at the Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris. A multiple award winner, he is acclaimed for his expressive musicianship, exuberant virtuosity, and for the deep sonority of his 1701 Matteo Goffriller cello “L’Ambassadeur”.

At this difficult time for Ukraine, Gautier Capuçon, with his long time Friend, the pianist Frank Braley, will visit Lviv to support everyone and express his solidarity with the Ukrainian people.

The French pianist Frank Braley will perform with the cellist on the stage of the Lyudkevych Concert Hall.

We will also hear Ukrainian musicians Mykola Haviuk (violin) and Ustym Zhuk (viola) with the famous French duo at the event.

In their perfect performance we will hear the music of Schubert, Schumann, Mendelssohn, Elgar and other composers of the XIX-XX centuries.
