The X International Music Festival “Music in Old Lviv”, held from August 15 to 31, will be a pleasant last chord of the Lviv artistic summer.

The main concept of this year’s, already tenth in a row, International Festival “Music in Old Lviv” within the framework of partnership with the “Music in Old Krakow” festival is to present Lviv as a city with a special architectural and historical landscape, monuments of European culture and history, traditions, interactive ideas and creative realities.

The organizer of the festival during these years has always been the Lviv National Philharmonic, the director is Serhii Burko.

This year, guests can expect seven unique events, each of which will demonstrate the multidimensionality, diversity and uniqueness of the city’s musical culture! These are organ events, concerts of spiritual, ancient music and well-known and beloved classical compositions performed by well-known groups and soloists uniquely.

A storm of feelings, brightness of impressions, splendour and majesty – each piece of the program will immerse us in the era of magnificent palaces and temples, exquisite royal receptions and sophisticated musical evenings.

This year, the elegant Potocki Palace cordially invites you to the Opening of the Tenth, anniversary festival “Music in Old Lviv”. Selected music by Polish luminaries Chopin and Szymanowski will be performed masterfully by the famous interpreter Martha Kuziy. These are precisely those composers whose work became fundamental for the history of our friendly state of Poland. Chopin in the 19th century and Szymanowski in the 20th century showed the way for modern art today. Their refined, elegant music for the king of instruments – the piano – will not leave indifferent even the biggest music lovers!
