First Sounds

On May 2, the Lviv National Philharmonic will become a space where music turns into a language of love and reaches the very beginning of life.

“First Sounds: Melodies of New Life” introduces a new format of interaction between culture and care. This event brings together live orchestral performance and professional psychological support, creating a gentle environment for pregnant women, mothers, and infants. The program is designed as a holistic experience in which music does not merely sound, but helps restore inner balance, reduce tension, and foster a sense of safety.

At a time when external circumstances intensify our emotional vulnerability, this project offers a delicate form of support through aesthetics, community, and the scientifically grounded impact of sound. The philharmonic space becomes a place where one can experience, share, and find support among others.

“First Sounds” shapes a new culture of presence alongside the youngest and their mothers, laying the foundation for communities in which care, sensitivity, and mutual understanding become a natural part of the experience.

The project is initiated and реализed in collaboration between the INSO-Lviv Orchestra and the Lviv Perinatal Center.
