INSO-Lviv opens the season with the concert Vision. This season, the orchestra explores the concept of Life, beginning with a question: how do we envision the future, and what do we choose to preserve within it? Memory, freedom, dignity, love, and the ability to create.

The programme brings together three stories. Yevhen Stankovych’s Roksolana, created from his music for the television series of the same name directed by Borys Nebieridze. Robert Schumann’s Violin Concerto, a work with an almost detective-like history, which returned to audiences after decades of silence. And Mendelssohn’s Scottish Symphony, born from the composer’s impressions of the ruins of Edinburgh: he wrote down its opening bars during his travels through Scotland, completing the work thirteen years later.

At the conductor’s podium is Paul Mann, with Elina Buksha as soloist, performing alongside the INSO-Lviv Symphony Orchestra.
