Perfection, brilliance, elegance of forms, and virtuosity – all these are the ideals of eighteenth-century art. The time when Baroque aesthetics reigned supreme and technical complexity rised to divine beauty.
This was a golden age for the flute. Its crystalline timbre fascinated not only the best musicians, but also aristocrats and kings. Composers created flute masterpieces, and craftsmen perfected the flute until it became a model of perfection.

“The Golden Age of the Flute” is a new program by soloist Yurii Shutko, which he will present with the Lviv Virtuosos Academic Chamber Orchestra. It skillfully combines the works of two generations of the Bach family, the mysterious “Night” by Antonio Vivaldi and the breath of a new era – Carl Stamitz’s Concerto in G major.
