On February 14, the exhibition “Unbreakable” was opened at the Ukrainian Institute in New York as part of the joint artistic initiative of the Lviv National Philharmonic and the “We and the World” project of the Kozytskyi Charitable Foundation — Seeing and Hearing Ukraine.
Volodymyr Syvokhip, general director of the Lviv National Philharmonic was attending this evening: “The exhibition accompanies us throughout the tour, but it is here in New York that it lasts for a longer period, and it also speaks about what Ukraine is now – it is indomitable, it is fighting for freedom. After all, Ukraine is fighting for its victory, and the fact that it is all shown here today in New York is probably a great artistic victory because probably the art should win first, and then we will win in general.”
Thanks to the “See and Hear Ukraine” Project, as part of a tour in the USA, there are publicly presented not only the best examples of musical art, but also Ukrainian fine art by famous Ukrainian artists, in particular Inna Kharchuk, Artur Soletskyi, Liudmyla Davydenko, Olha Pohribna-Koch and others. Exhibitions have already taken place in the cities of Florida and New York, Rochester. The opening of the exhibition in New York’s Carnegie Hall is ahead.
“Today’s meeting is quite historic. First, we met at the Ukrainian Institute of America — this is a powerful institution aimed at supporting Ukrainian and promoting it. We met here with our symphony orchestra, which is touring all over America, but today it is right in New York, because tomorrow is probably the most important event in the life of the orchestra, a performance in Carnegie Hall will occur”, Volodymyr Syvokhip noted.
