In her comment, Dzvenyslava Safian, head of the International Relations Department of the Philharmonic, said: “Many Ukrainian musicians became refugees in Lviv… They came from Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv and were looking for a way to continue their artistic activity because Lviv turned out to be almost the only major Ukrainian city, where cultural life has been preserved”.
She also noted that the audience actively responds to the performances of philharmonic groups: “Many people come, and they are happy that they manage to attend the concerts. We play not only classical or romantic music but also contemporary and early music”.
