BACH Marathon: March, 21-22 - Lviv National Philharmonic

BACH Marathon: March, 21-22

23.03.2025
Details

This marathon is among the top five most unusual competitions in the world, as its central figure—mentor, judge, and ultimately, the winner—is none other than the almost sacred Johann Sebastian Bach.

Following his example, Handel turned to aqua jogging, and Cage embraced meditative self-discovery practices. Even today, so much about him remains unknown, yet we know everything essential! Forever young (yes, not at all the plump, stern-looking old man you’re used to seeing in aged portraits), Bach will run this marathon in honor of his 340th birthday.

Set aside all conventions (his elaborate wig, furrowed brow, etc.) and head to the Philharmonic. We guarantee a marathon of new and relevant Bach-inspired art from our performers!
