It pulsates, initiates all processes and allows you to experience life to the fullest! We are convinced that this is how culture works. It activates those who are not indifferent to search in the immense depths of our traditions and innovations, to create and explore unrestrainedly – but remain true to themselves. Culture moves the world at maximum speed, flows in the eclectic present, and makes us get acquainted with Ukrainian art as soon as possible. The Lviv National Philharmonic is focusing on the visions of the Ukrainian art today.

For the 29th time, the Contrasts International Contemporary Music Festival will take place from September 29 to October 8. This year’s program of events for the 10-day marathon includes well-known Lviv ensembles, guests from Kyiv, Poland, and Germany, and real gems that are rarely performed even on our stages. We dedicate every pause and sound today to the unbreakable Ukrainians. And we believe that music has a healing effect: it gives us the strength to continue to defend our beliefs, freedom and future.
