Lyudkevych Concert Hall

150- 450

Program

Last year, the world-recognized collective — the Lviv National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine — celebrated its 120th anniversary. It is unbelievably much for a person, and even more noticeable for a representative of Ukrainian music art, as the orchestra has been successfully functioning within the walls of Liudkevych Concert Hall for decades.

In order to celebrate this momentous occasion together, we offer listeners an evening called “The Muse of Indomitability”, where the Orchestra will perform right after a large-scale tour in the United States of America. Soloist Antuanette Mishchenko, a famous young Ukrainian pianist, will join the concert.

To play for one’s country, to play about it sincerely and passionately, as Beethoven did, and so inspired and exciting, like Mendelssohn: this is the mission of the Lviv National Symphony Orchestra. We invite you to the concert to make sure of it.

Artists:

  • Antuanette Mishchenko, piano
  • Lviv Philharmonic Academic Symphony Orchestra
  • Volodymyr Sivokhip, conductor

Program:

  • Felix Mendelssohn.  Symphony No. 4 in A major, op.90, “Italian”
  • Ludwig van Beethoven. Concerto for piano and orchestra No. 5 in E flat major

The project is implemented in cooperation with the VERE MUSIC FUND
