On the 210th anniversary of Taras Shevchenko’s birth

His words contain prophecies and calls to struggle, blood-stained pages of history and picturesque dreams of the future, true pictures of life and beautiful landscapes of the Motherland.

The Lviv National Philharmonic invites you to two days of commemoration of the Ukrainian prophet, genius, and poet Kobzar. On March 9, at 16:00, attend a large-scale event featuring soloists, a choir, and a chamber orchestra: the program includes compositions by Ukrainian authors based on Taras Shevchenko’s texts. On March 10, the event “Shevchenko. Today”: the works dedicated to Taras will be performed by two leading orchestras – the Military Orchestra of the Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi National Army Academy and the Academic chamber orchestra “Lviv Virtuosos”.
