Power of Energy

S.Lyudkevych Concert Hall

190–400

Program

The Lviv National Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra continues a new series of concerts in 2024 called “The Power of Music”, and this time will present to the audience the power of energy that lies in the depths of sound. After all, what else but energy – as the bowels of the native land, the colors of the orchestral timbres, or the drive of conducting – guided the composers whose most famous works were chosen for this special program?

No wonder the idea of symphonic interpretation of famous folk dances dates back to the romantic nineteenth century. Successfully embodied in the great examples of the genre such as the cycles of Antonin Dvořák and Johannes Brahms, it also caught the fancy of the Ukrainian composer Levko Kolodub (1930-2019). The bright and agile whirlwind of the most famous dance melodies of Ukrainian folklore in Kolodub’s suite will make the most demanding audience listen closely to this sound kaleidoscope, but we do not exclude that you will want to join the dance whirlwind for a moment. So, the dancehall shoes would fit for this evening, and maybe it will add an energetic fervor to the mood of the concert.

We promise that such a program configuration will be magnetic on the stage of the Lyudkevych Concert Hall. We invite you to experience the unbridled energy of symphonic magic from the Philharmonic Orchestra. The famous artist Serhii Khorovets will be the conductor of the energy on this day.
