Intimate chamber music, dramatic depth and stylistic versatility – this will be the evening dedicated to two titans of Ukrainian music of the 20th century: Borys Liatoshynskyi and Myroslav Skoryk. Kateryna Shalaiska, Modest Mentsinskyi, and Rostyslav Fedyna will perform works that embody Lyatoshynsky’s intellectual energy and Skoryk’s emotional color. From the expressive Sonata-Ballad to the gentle “Recitatives and Rondo” — the program unfolds like a philosophical canvas on which Ukrainian music appears in all its multifaceted beauty.

This concert is a kind of meditation on the connection between time and creativity, where each work reveals its own special narrative. Skoryk’s Lyrical Sonata No. 2 resonates with the deep inner drama of Lyatoshynsky’s first trio, creating an emotionally rich space. It sounds both personal memories and collective memory, and a subtle sense of style that combines tradition with innovation.
