Psalms of Faith

210 years of relevancy. Taras Shevchenko’s poems speak to us through the centuries, finding a new response in our hearts. Because for each of us, Shevchenko is different: a prophet and a model of rebellion, a freedom-loving talent and a deep lyricist. It is the latter characteristic that will be revealed by the Philharmonic artists this evening.

Kobzar’s poetry will be performed in tandem with music by famous Ukrainian composers: Mykola Lysenko, Yakiv Stepovyi, Kyrylo Stetsenko and Yulii Meitus. Some of these songs are so loved by the audience that they have become almost folk songs, familiar and dear to us since childhood. That is why the concert is a great opportunity to enjoy the immortal melodies and eternal words of Shevchenko once again.
