Virtuosos 42. Dedication to Maestro

Thursday 01.06.2023 / 19:00

Концертний зал Людкевича

Program

One of those who laid the foundation of the Ukrainian present is an unmistakable characterization of Myroslav Skoryk. Lviv soloists and orchestra musicians will pay tribute to the composer at the Philharmonic, for which the Maestro has become a patron and symbol of musical being.

Although it is known that Skoryk is the author of the first Ukrainian twist, a stylish and bold experimenter, he also flourished his lyrical, introverted component through the works that will be performed in this program. It is filled with memories, devout, excitement and sadness. This music feels enlightening because in the end, we are left with his message and work. “A great dream is to leave all work and just create and live caring for one’s soul,” the artist once said. On the third anniversary of his death, we remember with gratitude and adopt this impulse: to live and create, no matter what.
